Day 15: LESSON PLANS: “more like guidelines rather than actual rules!” (printable templates included)

~Our 19 DAY JOURNEY of inspiration, activities, and resources continues!~

I’m hoping by now (if you are a Suddenly-Homeschooling-Parent) that you have been able to find at least a few ideas and resources on our 19 day journey; some direction for this unexpected challenge. Still feeling overwhelmed? Maybe you’ve found some ideas and gathered a few resources, but still don’t know where to start? There’s so much to wade through. . . so many options! I understand firsthand how intimidating all of the homeschool information can be, especially when you are first discovering it. All of the choices can be crippling! A quick scroll on Pinterest for homeschool activities is as overwhelming as trying to choose toppings for your pie at MOD Pizza. We need narrowing down, pruning, streamlining; FOCUS.

“So why don’t we all get sensible, and get this thing organized?”mad mad mad world“Did ya all hear what mama said?”

Today, I have something that I think will help us do just what “the old bag” (Ethel Merman, not me!) is suggesting; GET THIS THING ORGANIZED! I have created a printable lesson plan template for each of the 6 most common education models that I outlined on DAY 5. If you missed my “Suddenly-Homeschooling-Crash-Course-Guide” or still haven’t picked an education style or fusion (stop playing the field and commit already!) you can refer to that information here: Day 5: Suddenly-Homeschooling? Here’s your CRASH-COURSE-GUIDE to get you started! (resources included) .

So here it is! All typed up and ready to print!

I’ve included a lesson plan template for Montessori, Waldorf, Charlotte Mason/Literature-Based Learning, Classical Education, Standard Education, and Unschooling/Project-Based Learning, as well as the fusion that we enjoy in ~Our Holistic Homeschool~! Choose whichever model best fits your family, or use them as a guide to create your own education style, unique to your family!

Write your plans in PENCIL: I encourage you to use these templates as a GUIDE. Don’t let it get you down if you don’t complete everything you planned for the week.

*Please note: I created these lesson plan templates to be accessible and user-friendly to the Suddenly-Homeschooling-Family. My goal in creating each template was to help make things LESS complicated; to help organize, simplify, and streamline. If you are a purist in Montessori, Waldorf, Charlotte Mason, or Classical Education, the following templates may not be as specific or comprehensive enough for your liking.
